Welcome

Welcome to the Clifton Vineyard Church’s webpage.   I invite you to take some time to look through our information and get acquainted with who we are, how we live out the Gospel, and what we believe.

The Clifton Vineyard Church is the vision of founding pastor, Steve Sanford.  God showed Steve the need for a contemporary and relevant church in Clifton, Colorado and Steve worked for 3 years to bring that vision to life.  On Easter Sunday 2010, the Clifton Vineyard Church held its first service.  The church was initially a campus of Canyon View Vineyard Church, but became an independent Vineyard church on January 2, 2011.  Steve invited me to join the staff as his Executive Pastor and we began ministry together at that time.  I previously served as a pastor at Canyon View Vineyard for nearly 10 years and was thrilled to join my friend in ministry at the Clifton Vineyard Church.

Steve battled Leukemia and Lymphoma for all the years that he was pursuing the founding of the church. We were devastated when Steve succumbed to this disease March 28, 2011.  Our Board of Directors, Elder Board, and I all believed that the vision and mission that had begun needed to be continued.  With the blessing of the leadership, I became the Senior Pastor.

Our vision is to be a place where people can come, learn, love, and live.  We pursue this vision by having a relevant and comfortable worship service where people can come and learn and be loved so that they can truly live.

We teach the truth of God’s Word solely from the Bible and have worship to begin and end the service.  We collect our gifts of tithes and offerings in conjunction with the worship.  We do this as we believe our offering is an extension of our act of worship.  Communion is taken together on the first Sunday of each month and everyone is invited to participate.  We also have baptisms scheduled throughout the year.

We offer Sunday School classes for infants through Middle and High School aged students.  We have an outstanding group of volunteers who love to teach the children in the classes and our Middle School/High School ministry, called Element 8, has get-togethers and outreach activities scheduled throughout the month as well.

There are adult Bible studies available both in a traditional face-to-face environment as well as electronic groups that meet via the internet or on facebook.

The Clifton Vineyard Church is particularly active in outreach to our community. We are purposeful in making sure that the direct needs of the people around us are met year-round.  Acts 2 makes a strong statement about the church being a living church and taking care of the people in their community and we strive to model that example.

The Clifton Vineyard Church aligns itself with the beliefs and core values of the Association of Vineyard Churches.  For your information, a link to documents pertaining to our Statement of Faith and Core Values are found on this page.
